We moved to Norfolk just 2 yrs ago to begin to start our retirement. My husband was a fit, healthy 58 years old yet diagnosed with cancer early this year and it was so aggressive he died in September. Everything was such a shock and unexpected so we had no knowledge of funeral directors at all. My daughter found Thornallys on internet search and we read the reviews which were comforting. From the moment Peter arrived immaculately presented with an assuring, kind, authoritative attitude, I just knew it was the right choice. In the darkest times you need to know that your loved one is being looked after and respected. Nothing but praise for both Peter and Nichola who were so kind, comforting and welcoming of whole family with many visits without ever overstepping the mark, takes some doing in my opinion. They just know how to approach and comfort people. Wonderful,special,good people. Thank you Peter, Nichola and Thornallys for looking after my husband and making the send off as good as it could possibly be.

The entire staff I met were absolutely professional also kind , considerate and efficient.

Thornally funeral services were excellent. They looked after me when my husband passed away in a very professional manner. The funeral was conducted exactly as my husband and I wished. Thornalley Funeral Services were great with our aunt's funeral 2 years ago when her deaf and blind husband was left on his own. They have also been brilliant with our uncle's funeral who sadly died recently two years later. We live over 7 hours drive away so it was great to know that someone we could trust was in charge of the arrangements. They checked in with us every day leading up to the funeral and were very kind and considerate to us all. the funeral went very smoothly thanks to Thornalley. We are all very grateful

I have no words to thank Mr Ray and Andrew Thornalley enough for their kindness, professional efficiency and guidance when, on top of the shock and sadness of my cousin passing away suddenly, I was in turmoil, facing decisions and formalities which seemed daunting.

Every person I spoke to at Thornalley Funeral Services was helpful and so very kind. Every question answered every doubt clarified. Thank you immensely to you all. It is invaluable to be able to rely on a firm like you in a time of distress.
On the day of the cremation, every detail was impeccable. Mr Ray Thornalley, with the aplomb of an experienced professional, all the dignity in the world, and thoughtfulness that shows he is a lovely human being, reassured us all, put us at ease and ensured that every aspect of the funeral went beautifully well.
