Having Eva and Anna at Watermans taking care of the funeral arrangements made a truly awful time so much easier. They were both always welcoming, had time for us, and accommodating of every small detail and request we had. From the way they communicated to us and each other, to the way they were dressed when picking our dad up and at the funeral, even to playing his favourite song to welcome dad to the chapel of rest, everything was done with the utmost respect. We took huge comfort in knowing he was being taken care of as well as any of us could have wanted. Eva and Anna guided us through the arrangements for the funeral as well as the legal formalities and had the perfect balance between maintaining professionalism whilst being comforting friends, and as a family we agree that we couldn't have chosen a better team than Watermans to help us through this most difficult time.

A huge thank you to Dale and his team at Watermans funeral directors. Dale looked after us all when my Partner John passed away in May and the funeral was everything he would have wanted. We were made to feel like one of the family. Thank you for everything you did for me and my family.

We would just like to thank you all so much for the support and guidance we have received. 

A lovely family run business who really do care. They made us feel so welcomed and Dale is an amazing man, he helped us so much in such a difficult time, we walked away feeling like we have known him for years with the way he was with us. Nothing was a problem and he did everything and more with what we asked of him. Utterly genuine, kind and caring.
I won’t ever be able to thank you enough Dale. 

James was great keeping us updated on email and always on the other end of the phone when we needed him, and Simon was a brilliant celebrant who gave our mum a beautiful service. He listened to what we wanted and delivered it with empathy.

They told us step by step what would happen leading up to and on the day of the funeral. 
Our mum would have been so happy that you looked after her so well. Just the little things like with leaving the radio on for her, never turning the lights off and shutting the shop so we could say our good byes in private. We can’t ever thank you enough.

WATERMANS dealt with every detail with the uttermost respect and helped our relation at the saddest time of her life. She had no worries letting them guide her all the way. And the service was a lovely send off the celebrant  spoke with comparison and feeling   We would like to thank James and Dale for all they done for Keith

The whole experience of dealing with a funeral, for our dear departed mother, was made so much easier, by the advice and guidance given to us by Watermans Funeral Directors. James Matthews was our first contact, the empathy expressed by him, was incredibly comforting. Whilst visiting their premises, I was struck by, how bright and modern it was, not dark and depressing, as one might expect. This I’m sure helped to put us in a much better place, at this very sad time. 

We were very gently lead through the planning process. Good common sense and advise was available throughout.  We felt assured that Mum was in the best hands possible. The Chapel of rest was very calm and beautiful. They recommended a wonder Celebrant, Eric, who was interested in learning everything about our Mum. 

One of the most impressive moments was when the Funeral Director, Mr Waterman  strode out in front of the hearse. He was immaculately attired and very elegant. 

This truly was the most fantastic send off that we could of given to our Mum.

The service received was second to none. James was very courteous and was respectful of our wishes 🙏. The combination of James and Mr Waterman made out the grieving process much more bearable. I would recommend their professional services to everyone. The Celebrant Eric was also very good. We had a very beautiful send off for my Uncle.

We would like to thank Watermans for all they have done for us at this difficult time. Without them we would not have been able to say our final goodbyes to our loved one with the love respect and dignity that Daphne our mum deserved. A special thanks to Dale, James and Shelley for the kindness of which they showed to our family, a simple thank you doesn't seem enough and we truly appreciate absolutely everything they did to make the day as special as Daphne our mum was and will always be to us. It was a hard task for them to take over a funeral from another funeral directors whom had shown no compassion whatsoever towards us.
