Brian's daughters (my stepdaughters) and I have been delighted with the way Stibbards have conducted the arrangements for Brian's funeral from beginning to end. The approach of everyone involved, from Wendy to Dan, was always sympathetic and understanding, friendly and relaxed, which helped us to feel positive about the whole event. Our wishes were always listened to, but helpful advice given where necessary.

We were pleased with the choice of Peter Holmes as celebrant. The wide range of practical choices, from coffins to floral tributes, was very pleasing, and we were delighted to be able to use the Visual Tribute facility.

We are making good use of the Obituary page on the Funeralzone site, although as an older person with basic IT skills, I found it difficult to access at first. My one criticism is that, since the majority of funerals involve some members of the 'older generation', it would be a mistake to make it too difficult to make cheque or cash charity donations. Some of my (very alert and totally compos mentis) friends don't even know how to use a computer, let alone own one.

This does not detract at all, though, from our being very happy indeed with the way that Stibbards arranged my husband's funeral.

We had the daunting task of arranging mums (98) funeral with the added problem of dealing with a very distraught dad (95) who was too stressed to be of any help with decisions at this time. With fantastically sympathetic and helpful advice from our first call to Linda at Stibbards and then to our lengthy unrushed meeting with Robyn who not only steered us through the whole process with great professionalism but also a very kind and considerate approach. The day of the funeral whilst very  sad even at that ripe old age went extremely well with all members of the team helping every step of the way. From my first contact with Stibbards on the day of my husbands death, both of us were treated with care and respect.
When I attended Stibbards in Hockley to discuss the procedure and what preparations were needed I immediately felt at ease and confident that the situation would be calm and stress free. Louise Grove took me through everything that was needed in a caring, organised and efficient way, I came away feeling at ease and knowing all would be well.
The entire process was very well organised right from type of funeral, choice of coffin etc,  transport to the minister who officiated. All who attended commented on how personal the service had been and what a fitting tribute David Coster had given. I would like to send my thanks to all at Stibbards for their work and support throughout and who contributed to making what could have been a sad and upsetting situation, a memorable day.

We had excellent service from S.Stibbards & Sons,  Lee Marston was very efficient but supportive and caring also. On the day of the funeral myself and all the family were impressed with the service provided by Martin and his team. They made everything go smoothly and again were efficient but also caring.

Every member of the team that we dealt with in the Shoebury office and on the day of the funeral were courteous, helpful and professional.

We were very pleased with the exceptional service we received from everyone at Stibbards and would recommend them. I had already come into contact with them on several occasions and knew I could trust them to give my mother exactly the funeral we wanted. We mainly deal with Wendy and Martin who were very patient with us especially when changing requests but everyone treated us with courtesy and respect. My brother was particularly touched with the way our 99 year old mother looked in her coffin; very peaceful and he was glad he had been to see her. We also thought the live link a very good idea as our son lives in New Zealand and could not come home at this time.

S. Stibbard's were absolutely incredible.  Sue and Debbie were so informative, supportive and efficient with everything... down to every single detail.  Due to our family situation with our father in the hospital at the same time as our mothers passing and my living overseas and dealing with the constant travel during their illnesses, they accommodated a memorial service for mum within a very tight time constraint.  Even though it was Easter weekend upcoming, Debbie informed the Reverend Phil Wright of the situation and he agreed to taking his time to assist us and advise with regard to the order of service and although such a sad time, made it a lovely celebration of mums life on the day of her memorial.  Every aspect of my dealings with Stibbard's was a smooth and positive one, from casket to flowers, to special transportation of our father, they went above and beyond for us. They are the utmost in professionalism and caring for the bereaved and family member we have lost.
