Choosing a funeral director is probably one of the hardest things to do at such a sad time, and its important that you feel you are working with a company who know you and your family, your departed loved one and your needs extremely well. R Wallace & Sons did exactly that - they helped steer me through what was needed, answered emails and phone calls late at night, advised and never ever came across pushy or any sense of overselling. My experience of working with R Wallace & Sons was exactly what I needed and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for the personal touch.

Excellent and professional care of my father and superbly efficient funeral arrangements. Particular thanks to Edward Wallace for his guidance, kindness and patience during the whole process from start to finish. As a family we would never have got through it all without his help. Wallaces have been looking after the funeral needs of my family for a number of years and as the song goes "no-one does it better." Because of that excellent service we return time and time again because we know everything will be taken care of and done to the highest possible standard.

The arrangements for my mum’s funeral we’re handled very sensitively and Edward went out of his way to ensure that we felt comfortable with all aspects. We received a personal service from Stuart Wallace, who pitched things exactly right for us.  This is a great local business. Stuart clearly knows his business very well along with local churches, priests and the crematorium making all the arrangements with ease. You get the complete service from the initial late at night contact which wasn't a problem to the stone masonry. I would highly recommend their services to anyone.

In a close rural community they have an excellent reputation for the service they provide.

Having never had to arrange a funeral before Eddy instantly put us at ease and guided us through it every step of the way. Those little personal touches made it so much easier to deal with everything, would definately recommend R Wallace & Son if the need ever arises.

Mr Wallace and family are efficient, friendly, compassionate and well organised. The death of my partner was devastating and they were amazing! Thank you all for your help and advice on all the funeral arrangements.....it took a lot of pressure off me.

After using R Wallace and sons in the past I wouldn’t choose anyone else.
The whole team need to be commended on the care they showed us during such a sad time and the dignity they treated both us and dad with. Sam who came on the morning dad passed away to take him to the chapel of rest gave us the time we needed to say goodbye, Stuart and Edward who visited to discuss the arrangements gave clear advice on steps we needed to take regarding paperwork etc things that I had no idea about and also helped with planning for the funeral never rushing us and evidently listening to all our requests offering support and advice through out, Ryan at the chapel of rest who facilitated the numerous visits from all the family and friends (and there were a lot!), as well as all the others behind the scenes staff that I maybe didn’t come into contact with. Even at the saddest time their words and appropriately timed comments made us smile.
The day of the funeral went as well as we could hoped for, the support received from all at R Wallace and sons was so personal yet so professional with everyone who attended both the funeral service and the chapel or rest commenting on the high standards. From the day of dads death until the day dads ashes were brought home we were treated with such compassion and
I cant express my thanks enough for the help in giving dad the send off he deserved.

A very genuine, proffessional, caring family run business who made a very very difficult situation a little easier for me and my daughter to deal with. Nothing was too much trouble, and whilst this was a very delicate time, good advise and support was given and I never felt any pressure to make my mind up, as this was the first time I have ever had to do anything like this without my Husband. Fabulous Company.
