I miss you Mum
Four words aren't much
But that's all I can say
There's an empty space in my life
Now you've gone away

You were so brave,
Put up such a fight
But alas we're now apart.
Until the day we meet again,
You're always in my heart

You're now at peace
You have no pain
For that I won't be sad,
But smile thinking of you watching over me,
Somewhere hand in hand with dad.

It's only been a few days nan, and you not being with us no more has left a big gap in so many of our lives. I'm sure you are watching down on us, and you can see the warmth and love we all feel for you, and how you will be so terribly missed, and never forgotten. I love you nan xxx

The phone has stopped ringing
The days are too long
Things are not the same
Now you are gone
The birds have stopped tweeting
The garden is bare
Things are not the same
Without you there
The cats wander around
The purring has stopped
Where has she gone
They just wander on
As I look at her photos
Sweet memories I recall
Of a face full of sunshine
And a smile for all
Please take this message
To my mum up above
Tell her I miss her
And give her all my love
xxx

We can’t dial your number
We can’t get through to you
We called the operator
She did all that she could do
There is no code for heaven
We cannot place the call
No numbers left to try
It seems we’ve tried them all
We think of you a lot
And often say your name
All we have are memories
And pictures in a frame
Your memory is a keepsake
From which we’ll never part
God has you in his arms
But we have you in our hearts
