Alan started his working life at langwith pit in 1954,and then went on to work at warsop main colliery where he worked until his retirement in 1989. Alan was a keen gardener and pigeon enthusiast where he raced pigeons for several clubs winning a few races, and continued to race up until his passing,may i ask for no flowers but there will be a donation page and also a donation box in church which all proceeds will go to air ambulance.
