In loving memory of our beautiful mum, daughter, auntie, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend Penelope Jane Clarke who sadly passed away on 1st April 2022.

Our mum was always kind, wise and graceful and wished to make the world a better place.

A truly outstanding, brave and loyal mum who showed us all what it's like to love unconditionally, even in the hardest of times. Our mum would always put others before herself and had time for everybody. She was the voice of reason in difficult times, the cool head, the source of advice and never-ending wisdom.

Our mother was the glue to our family, our strength, our leader and a truly inspirational, admirable and beautiful woman.

Life will never be the same without her and we hope to make her proud and continue with her legacy as her children. We couldn't be prouder to call ourselves her children.

Thank you for your support at this time.

With love from Amber and family x

Hi Mum

There are so many things that I want to talk to you about and as always ask for your wise advice.

You'd be so proud of Jay recently, he passed his 11+ with flying colours and we have applied for Sheriff, we couldn't have managed the tuition with you - so thank you so much. Wish you were here to celebrate with us.

Ginger is doing well and is truly settled in and sleeps at the bottom of my bed every night now, just like he did with you. Although, I can't say that I'm as kind as you when he wakes me up at 5:00 am full of beans!

Keisha is 21 soon and we went out to The Saxon Mill over the weekend to celebrate. We all wished you were there, 'celebrations' are just not the same without you. You were the true matriarch of our family and held everyone together.

We're dreading Christmas, Mum. I now finally understand why you were never a big Christmas fan. It sucks when you miss people. I am trying to find a few people who will be on their own for Christmas, such as the elderly, so I can make them a homemade Christmas dinner. I figure it'll keep me busy on the day and also make me feel good knowing I've helped someone who also doesn't have a 'traditional' 'family-orientated' Christmas.

I still have your Christmas money that you gave to me last year, it's still in the envelope with your lovely handwriting and message on. Perhaps I may treat myself to something this Christmas, we'll see.

Bye for now. I love you to Orgiva and back. xxx

I can't believe we are nearly at the end of July, which marks almost four months since I last saw you. I'd never gone more than a week without seeing you in my life and it still feels unreal. I still wait to see your car pulling up for Sunday dinner. I still wait to see your favourite pink shoes appearing at the garden gate for a barbecue. I still drive past your house and long to get a glimpse of you.

Miss you every day Mum and I don't think there will ever be a day where I won't.

You would be so proud of Jaden recently, who has just finished year five and is studying hard for his upcoming 11+ exam. He recently got great marks in a practice paper. I know he's so committed to making you proud and being the best he can be.

Ginger is doing well and has settled in well with us, Mum. He sits on my knee and follows me around like a second shadow. I can tell he misses you though. Like all of us.

Speak soon and remember I love you always x
