Malcolm Hume (2 May 1937 - 3 Apr 2022)
Funeral Director
In loving memory of Malcolm Hume who sadly passed away on 3rd April 2022.
Malcolm was born in 1937 in Woolwich and grew up in Blackfen, Sidcup. He was the pride of his parents especially when he passed the exams to go to the local Grammar School.
Chislehurst & Sidcup Grammar had a major effect on his life, both at the time and his future. It was here at school he harnessed his passion for most sports but especially football, cricket and tennis. Sports he was to play for many years. It was also through school Malcolm was introduced to a governor who worked in merchant banking. Malcolm was offered a job at 16 in the City and here he was to spend the next 40+ years.
Early in his career he proposed to Jean and they were to spend the next 63 years married, sharing many adventures and joys, including 3 children, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
After retiring Malcolm became a good amateur artist and remained close to all his family.
Recent years were overcome with ill health following a major stroke, however he maintained his sense of humour and always had a spark in his eye when visited by friends and family.
He will be missed.
