I met Christine as a fellow patient in QEUH at almost exactly this time last year. Although our time was brief, I found her to be extremely kind, thoughtful and helpful and I her words a great comfort to me, as I navigated one of the scariest times in my life. She spoke so fondly of her daughter Natalie and her grand dog Brody and of her Welsh roots.
May you rest easy Christine, le torr gaol

Donate in memory of
ChristineThe Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice
We have created this obituary in loving memory of Christine Sparks who, after a short journey with cancer, passed away on 27th March 2022 at the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice, Glasgow. Taken far too early, she was without doubt the kindest soul, most wonderful friend, and the best mum in the world. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by love, and will be in our hearts forever.
She touched many people who will want to pay their respects, so on Saturday 9 April at 9 pm we will be lighting a candle in her memory. We would like to invite anyone who wishes to do the same and to share a photo or a message to remember her by.
As per her wishes, we will be having a private funeral for close family, which will be officiated by the wonderful hospice chaplain who was a great comfort to her during her time there. In lieu of anyone wishing to send flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice, which can be done via the link on this page. Words cannot express our gratitude for the support of the incredible hospice staff and volunteers over the last few months.
