Well as you all know being Elaine’s Husband was the best thing that happened to me and although we were together twenty four years, it will be our Fourteenth Wedding Anniversary on 3rd May 2022. Today though as ever we were at out beloved City Ground to see The Mighty Reds win 5-1 in our last home game of the normal season so as I have thanked you all before for your amazing donations for Myeloma UK, I want to add 5-1 pounds to the total.
Love always to my/our WonderWoman ⚽️❤️⚽️❤️⚽️❤️⚽️❤️⚽️
Elaine Ryder (23 Feb 1966 - 3 Mar 2022)
Funeral Director
In loving memory of Elaine Ryder who sadly passed away on 3rd March 2022.
Elaine Susan Vogan was born on 23rd February 1966 to her loving parents Sheila and John, joining her big sister Angela to complete their family. They had a happy childhood and as always Mum knew where they were as you could always hear Elaine!
In 1982 Elaine turned 16 and left Carlton-le-Willows School as fast as she possibly could to follow her chosen career as a hairdresser, working at HairScene 2 for twelve years.
In 1996 Elaine started a new job at Boots the Opticians. It was a big step for Elaine as it was very different, but she did it staying for five years. In May 2001 Elaine chose another different career path and joined the HMRC, wanting a job that didn’t mean working weekends, as this got in the way of spending time with Paul and what would become her precious garden.
On 4th July 1998 Elaine met the love of her life, Paul in Langtrys in Nottingham. On 3rd May 2008 Elaine made Paul the Happiest Man alive in becoming Mrs Ryder: his wife.
Elaine always was lively, loud, happy and had many true friends as that was what she was to them. In the twenty four years of being privileged to have known this exceptional lady I have been so lucky and was given so much happiness and love from Elaine.
Sadly, as you know, 4 years ago Elaine was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma which is a blood cancer. From that day on our lives were changed forever. Elaine though made sure it did not define her and lived for every moment.
My WonderWoman: Elayne will live on forever and will be "Dancing the Night Away"
