Michelle was born in Nottingham on the 26th of July 1962 to Michael and Iris Reaney. She has 2 wonderful sisters in Suzanne and Stacey. Her early life was filled with fun and adventure, living in a number of sun kissed African countries followed by a move to America to work as an au pair in her early 20’s. Michelle married and had 2 wonderful children, Bradley and Mieke, with her first husband Geert. They emigrated to Belgium and spent a number of years there where Michelle surrounded herself with her main passion, horses. She had two horses who she loved dearly, Tasja and Lucky. Whilst there she forged a great friendship with a local girl called Anja who also shared a passion for horses and helped her integrate into the Belgian culture and life-style.
Unfortunately, her marriage broke down and Michelle, having no fear, upped sticks and came back to Nottingham where she bought a house on Thackerays Lane, Woodthorpe. Michelle immersed herself into bringing her children up keeping them focused on their education and surrounding them with love, support, and her sense of adventure which they still share today.
I was fortunate to meet Michelle on Christmas day 2010 at Paul and Stacey’s. My children, Alix and Ellis, knew Michelle's children as they went to the same school. Michelle and I started dating in 2011 and brought our families together under one roof in 2014. We made many happy memories together here and had some fantastic holidays with our family in Spain, Turkey, Cuba and Jamaica. We finally cemented our love for each other when I proposed to Michelle in 2019 in Rhodes. We had a fantastic, yet Covid stricken wedding with all our family present on the beautiful island of Cyprus, spending one of the most memorable days of our life on the 12th of September 2020.
Michelle's long 4 year battle with cancer was finally lost when she passed away with her family by her side on the 8th of March 2022. The memories we made and shared will live with us forever and for that we will be forever grateful. She was a strong, determined, beautiful, selfless human being, always putting other people first even when she was battling her illness and everyone would agree her loss is hard to comprehend.
Love you Babe until we are together again.
Paul (Hubby) xxxxx
