In loving memory of our beloved Son, Brother, (Great) Grandson, (Great) Nephew, Cousin and Friend Kieran who fought right to the end and sadly passed away on 11th March 2022 surrounded by his loving family.
Many of you will know that Kieran went into battle at the age of 2 and a half against his brain tumour. He navigated this minefield for over a decade, taking knock after knock. His resilience against sight loss, mobility along with other difficulties meant that Kieran got to experience the best life he could.
Kieran has surprised us many a time before and often surpassed the expectations of many......when he got knocked down he got back up again!
Unfortunately this time, he couldn't give anymore than he had already given and he hung his sword up with honour. Kieran broke free from the chains of his brain tumour and associated complications that slowly took the Kieran we know and love away.
We will continue to fight for better outcomes and treatments for brain tumours, especially in Children. We have chosen Brain Tumour Research for this very reason. We have also chosen to support Little Havens Hospice, who have been absolutely amazing. Their slogan is 'making every day count', making sure he still had enjoyment from his music and as we come to terms with our loss and living our lives with a special part missing, they have provided us this space to do so.
Funeral & Celebration of Life Arrangements:
We know that Kieran was a very popular boy and touched the lives of so many. In order to celebrate his short and inspiring life, we have chosen to have a service at our local church, St. Mary Magdalene at 3:15pm on Wednesday 23rd March, this is an open invitation to all who are able to attend.
We will be leaving our home address at 2:40pm, driving past the local shops and South Green Junior School, where Kieran was a former pupil before heading to the church. You are invited to line the streets to reflect, clap or salute our "brave little solider".
We will hold a short private ceremony at Bentley Crematorium and will return to Reids, Billericay.
In order for us to have an idea of numbers please could you indicate if you intend to attend the church service and/or reception?
We would request that you wear something (doesn't have to be big) red, this is for a number of reasons, this is the colour that Kieran could see the best and was his favourite. Special K is red! He looked good in red....it was his colour! But most of all it is symbolic of how much he was and will still be loved. Let him see us!
Our Special K
