In loving memory of Karen Tavassoly who sadly passed away on 10th February 2022. As a family we are beyond heartbroken and words cannot describe the void that Karen has left. Over the last 22 months she endured with great dignity, courage, and with a sense of humour various treatments for her cancer. She was the most caring, kindest person with an amazing sense of humour who brought light and warmth to all our lives. She was an amazing mum, wife, sister, daughter, granny, and friend. We love her so much and miss her incredibly ❤️

Karen was not just our daughter in law, she was our daughter. We loved and still love her with every bone in our body, she gave so much love to our son, our grandchildren and our great grandchildren. She put everyone before herself and she always did it with a big beautiful smile on her face. Karen will have a piece of our hearts forever and there will not be day, hour or a minute that we don't miss her until we meet again ❤️

Eve
To Everlasting Fond Memories of “My Favorite Scottish Sister” KAREN, for Her Unwavering Friendship, Profound Humanity and Steadfast Love for Her Family.
Eve gives birth to a child every day and inters them on the day after. Eve knows life is not but a short pause and appreciates this interlude by spending it with gratitude, joy and glory; because God likes it this way.
Eve gives up her child to earth but not her hope: Every day as she returns home from the graveyard, she dusts off her dress and washes death off her hands, then facing the mirror of the sky she stands right up and puts on her necklace of stars before hanging her moon-shape earrings, she powders her cheeks with the red poppies rouge and wears the scent of life so that the world turns redolent of her perfume.
Then, she fires up her tandoor, bakes bread and sets a table as wide as the whole world. She sits all her children at this table, banters and laughs and feeds them life by morsel and mouthful.
Eve celebrates every passing day and turns on a candle for each of her children in all corners of the world even though she knows tomorrow their candle will end and die.
She rises each morning like the Sun and belives sunset will never be the end of the Sun. In tandem with this existence cycle, she dances to the beat of life and laughs with life at death.
Eve is my mother and even passing of centuries has not manged to crease her forehead by a single line. She is still the same heavenly tall and unfaltering lady with the same bright eyes which are shining as in the first day of creation.
Each death is a wrapped and sealed present and Eve, without opening the pack accepts it willingly as it is from God.

For KAREN and Fond Memories of Her Genuine Warmth, Kindness and Friendship.

Native North American prayer

Do not stand at my bier and weep,
I am not there. I do not sleep,
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush of
Quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my bier and cry;
I am not there, I did not die.
[Native North American prayer]
