In loving memory of James Trevilyan Pride who sadly passed away on 14th February 2022
Dear Dad,
At a loss at what to say at this incredibly sad time, you were a man in a million, a treasured, loving husband to Carol, a fabulous, gentle father to Tracy, Mark, Gary and Louise, an adorable grandfather to Hayley, Rachel and Daniel, a lovable father in law to Philip, a strong and reliable brother to Margaret and Alan, a dependable brother in law to George and Kathleen, a brilliant cousin to Joy, a kind hearted almost father in law to Sue and Lisa, and a horse racing mate to your bookies runner Brian, but most of all, one hell of a guy! A true friend to so many!
Our hearts are smashed and broken without you, there is a massive Dad shaped hole in our lives!
It was, and is, an honour to have been someone special in your life!
Missing you so, so much already xxxxxxxx
The funeral is taking place at Gedling Crematorium, on Wednesday 9th March at 12.30 pm

Trev you have always put Carol and your family first, and have created the best most loving family.

Dearest Grandad,
You are and will forever be an inspiration to all of us. Not only were you hilarious, witty and gentle, but also a hard-working, caring, generous and all-round delightful man.
Every time you answered the phone with your “HELLO!”’s, the games of dominos, your mashed potatoes, your ukulele playing and your gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous hair will forever be missed but always held so close to our hearts. You are a beautiful man and we are all so bloody lucky to have had the absolute pleasure of having you around.
All my love, forever,
Rach xxx

PRIDE JAMES TREVILYAN (Trevor).
I have fond memories in our teenage years, getting our records Papworth’s on Alfreton Road (78RPM in them days). We must of had the biggest record player on Melbourne road, you could hardly lift it - it was so heavy. Happy times. You were good at sport, and quick witted too. You will be sadly missed by your sister Margaret and brother in law George as well as all who knew you! Love Margaret and brother in law George x x

Well James Trevilyan Pride that is the first time I have been made aware that was your birth name, which really made me smile. As you Trevor suggested to my Mum & Dad I was called Craig when I was born. During the early years you were Uncle Trevor and used to take me to Vernon Park to watch you play football for Mapperley Old Boys, as the years went by and I was old enough to enter mens football, Mapperley Old Boys was the first mens team I played for! We were also members of the Mapperley Plains Social Club where we often would have a chat over a pint on a Saturday night it was lovely to see you jive with Carol. You were always good company, kind, generous, helpful everything a good friend should be, one of life’s good people.
The last time I visited you was just before last Christmas when we had a good chat putting the world to rights over a cup of tea. You rest in peace my life long friend, its been a pleasure knowing you. You may have been born James Trevilyan Pride, but you will always be good old Trev to me.
