Barry Albert Fountain (5 May 1937 - 9 Feb 2022)

In loving memory of Barry Albert Fountain who sadly passed away on 9th February 2022.

Beloved husband of Hilary, Dad of Fiona & Mandi, Father-in-law to Rob, Mike & John, and Grandpa of Tegan, Emma, Connor & Nathan.

His everlasting passion and engagement with history, as one of his dominant hobbies, rubbed off on those around him. His company when visiting places of historical significance or areas which had changed with time, was vital. For his unique insight was key to getting the full picture. His captivating stories from historical events which he had witnessed with his own eyes, to those which he had come to learn about, aided in sparking a love and interest in history in his own family and those who were close. These stories served as evidence alone at just how much of an enthralling life Barry/Dad/Grandpa had lived, with tales spanning the globe, featuring a whole host of intriguing characters; Barry/Dad/Grandpa brought, in our eyes, the true definition of living life to the full. These stories of the life in which he lived, will always be dearly cherished and sorely missed, but never forgotten.
