In loving memory of Barrie John Hawkins who sadly passed away on 3rd February 2022

Barrie was born in Bedford on 16-01-1937. Barrie loved Bedford and it is only fitting that his final resting place is there too.

Barrie also known as Baz or loving nicknamed Bonking Barrie in his rugby days, was a great guy. He had traveled to many places and had a good life. He had a wicked sense of humour!

Barrie had a great love beer and for animals. He always had dogs even when he was a child.

Barries passing is very sad, I know that he would be so pleased with all those that have come together and the new friendships that have been made through Barrie.

Goodbye dear friend.

Rest in peace xx

Barrie - can’t believe you’ve gone. You’ve been a friend all my life. Looking out for mum, giving me a fabulous holiday in Portugal, the camper and the boat … so many lovely memories. You’re missed. You were very loved - see you on the other side xx

How do we remember our cheeky, chappy, dearest friend Barrie. Bedford Blues, Home & Away, him shouting Bed, me Ford. His mobile Pocket calling me at 4am as he walked home from the Taverna, oh & the fab Portuguese holiday we had whilst Alf worked on his boat. Roast dinners & laughter in our UK home & the phone call “ could Alf work on or fit this item”. His work with the Lions & RAFA. We miss his laughter & the innuendo that had no sides. We miss you dearest Friend but we are so thankful for our Special Memories. Love, Alf & Edwina.xx
