Marcel Chowdhury (11 May 1963 - 17 Jan 2022)

It is with sadness that I must tell you of the recent death of our dear brother Marcel Chowdhury who sadly passed away on 17th January 2022. He died unexpectedly at his home in Sherwood.

Marcel was very proud and honoured to be accepted as a member of the Ukrainian Club and spoke very fondly of his time in the club and the friendships that he made here. I believe that time spent in the club with his friends were amongst his happiest memories.

Funeral arrangements are 14th March at 1pm at Gedling Crematorium followed by a wake at the Ukrainian Cultural Centre, Clawson Lodge, 403 Mansfield Road, Carrington, Nottingham NG5 2DP from 2 – 2.30pm onwards.

Marcels surviving brother and sisters would be pleased to meet anyone that wants to come to the service or afterwards to share a memory and raise a glass to our brother.

No flowers please but donations to The Association of Ukrainians of Great Britain for the relief effort needed in this inexcusable and terrible war. Donations can be made via Lymns of Arnold or directly to the club in Carrington.
