In loving memory of Pamela Reynolds 'Pam' who sadly passed away on 2nd February 2022
We met on a Wednesday lunch break in February 1963, at the Queens Ballroom, Wolverhampton.
I was in my final year of apprenticeship attending day release at college. Pam and the cast of Pantomime at the Grand Theatre had just finished a weekly curtain call .
I persuaded Pam to dance with me and so began our long and happy life together.
She loved dancing from an early age but caught Bovine TB and could not proceed with training in untill she was nine.
At 17 she joined the chorus line of Pantomime at the Grand Theatre Wolverhampton. Her life was totally into dance from a Hungarian Gypsy dance group to Classical Ballet.
She taught at many dance schools around the Midlands, for Tap, Modern Show Dance and Ballet.
Just before moving South she danced in Swan Lake at The Alexandra Theatre Birmingham.
She loved dancing in Pantomime and almost the first thing she did on moving to Bournemouth was to sign up with local Panto Agents. Every year from 1961 to 1972 she performed in Panto, the last few years as head girl.
Then followed a few years with amateur dramatics groups, some of you may have seen her perform at the St.Leonards Village Hall
She had a few unhappy years trying for a baby, then a full term, still born boy but eventually along came our lovely Michelle and before long mom and daughter were off doing musical competitions and shows, the most memorable being with Ken Dodd.
A number of years later Simon & Claire joined our family.
We have had a wonderful life together and fortunatley have been able to do the things we wanted to do and visit places we enjoyed, dancing always with us.
She has been very ill since September with a wicked Cancer which took away her vitality and her life.
She has been the Best Mom my lovely Wife and best
friend, I shall miss her very much.
Lawrence
