Love is a smile, a tear and a touch love says little, but means so much, love is forever, and we give it to you from the family who thought the world of you

No one knew the pain she bore,beneath the smile she always wore. A loving memory dearer than gold of a mam whose worth can never be told.

I hope we made you proud yesterday Leeny.
The service was very 'you'.
We will never forget the memories we made with you. You'll forever be in our hearts ❤️

The Dash

​I read of a man who stood to speak
at the funeral of a friend.
He referred to the dates on the tombstone
from the beginning…to the end.

He noted that first came the date of birth
and spoke the following date with tears,
but he said what mattered most of all
was the dash between those years.

For that dash represents all the time
that they spent alive on earth.
And now only those who loved them
know what that little line is worth.

For it matters not, how much we own,
the cars…the house…the cash.
What matters is how we live and love
and how we spend our dash.

So, think about this long and hard.
Are there things you’d like to change?
For you never know how much time is left
that can still be rearranged.

If we could just slow down enough
to consider what’s true and real
and always try to understand
​the way other people feel.

And be less quick to anger
and show appreciation more
and love the people in our lives
like we’ve never loved before.

If we treat each other with respect
and more often wear a smile,
remembering that this special dash
might only last a little while.

​So, when your eulogy is being read,
with your life’s actions to rehash…
would you be proud of the things they say
about how you spent YOUR dash?

My Aunty Marlene,
It seems so hard to believe.
May you rest in peace x

We never ask for miracles but today just one would do, To see our front door open, and our dearest nan walk through. Gone but never forgotten, ❤️

Well didn't expect the phone call I got on 8th August. Worse phone call ever. On that day I lost my mum. You've been taken from us far too soon. Whose going to look for the bargains now. I don't think things will ever be the same without you. R.I.P mam. Love you always. Gone but never forgotten. We'll give you a good send off x

Marlene, a lovely lady with a heart of gold and always a smile- that's how I shall remember you. May you rest in peace until you are reunited with the ones you love and who love you. God Bless. Xx

On the 8th aug 2015 our lives changed loosing mam can't believe it all happened so quick but you will never be forgotten u was the best mam n grandma n great grandma. Ever. They have takin our angel god bless sleep tight love u forever xxxxx
