In loving memory of Jean Dewey who sadly passed away on 17th January 2022.

Jean was a mother, a sister, a wife, an aunt, a grandmother and a pillar of love for all those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her passing will forever be felt in the space she has left in our hearts. She dedicated her life to her family and her loved ones and did everything she possibly could to make sure they were all wrapped in the warmth of her admiration, understanding, support and above all her love. Writing this as her daughter, I can say there was no greater comfort in the world than her hugs, her kisses and her cheeky sense of humour and infectious laugh when you needed it the most.

To live so selflessly in the pursuit of other peoples happiness was her biggest strength and allowed her to bloom into a beautiful, fun, kind and wonderful woman with the love of her family around her. This is the good life we aspire to reach and she had that; what a legacy to leave behind!

To say you will be missed belittles how it feels now you are gone.

We love you more....

Jean my sister was always a joy to be with. Her smile would light up any room.
It is so hard to express how much I will miss you.
I am blessed to call you my sister and friend
You love is unconditional and stood through thick and thin. We shared our joys and sorrows our laughter and tears. Thank you for the wonderful memories of growing up together.
Rest in peace Jean.

The team at Signature at Bassett will never forget such a wonderful lady who filled our days with much laughter and joy. Jean was loved unconditionally by all at Bassett. We will never forget her positive attitude, the laughter and the smiles that she provided to all day in and day out.
We are all feeling the void of losing Jean from our community but we will treasure the memories as these will never fade and we will continue to feel privileged that we had the opportunity to support Jean whilst she was with us and get to know such a wonderful lady.

They say that your contribution to others lives is how much you are missed and talked about and the difference you have made to other people - Jean will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her - she touched you with her smile her infectious laughter and her ability to make you feel you were the most important person in the room - She was so proud of Claire Pete and Ralphy and they have so many memories to hold close when they are sad and missing her - hold her memory close and she will never be far away xxxx

Words cannot express my love for "Gramma Jean". What a wonderful lady!! I met her as "Jean" in 1995 on my first ever visit to the UK. She welcomed me into her home and fed me with food and love. Some years later she would visit me and my family for Thanksgiving here in New York and we returned the favor, feeding her and loving her right back. Then I became a mom and she became "Gramma Jean". Thankful for technology she met my daughter only virtually but we felt the love as if we were in the same room. I am going to miss chatting with Gramma Jean. I'm comforted in knowing that I was able to express my love to her and that she is back in the loving arms of her husband. With love, your family from across the pond - Leah, Aaliyah, Tony and the rest of my family. xoxo
