Rocco Distefano (3 Jul 1934 - 20 Jan 2022)

In loving memory of Rocco Distefano who sadly passed away on 20th January 2022 aged 87 years at his beloved home in Mapperley.

Rocco was born in San Mauro Forte on 3rd July 1934 and moved to Nottingham in February 1961. A few months later he married Giulia Piliero in April 1961, who sadly died on 5th March 2013.

They are survived by their two children Rosa Distefano McDonough and Pierina Distefano, Son-in-law Stephen McDonough and grandchildren Giulia and Kristofer McDonough.

Rocco was kind, generous and loved his family, always putting them first. His garden was his pride and joy and he loved to cook for guests when he could.

A rosary reading will be held at 6pm on Wednesday 16th February at Lymns Carlton.

The Funeral will take place at 10am on Thursday 17th February at St Barnabas Cathedral in Nottingham and then on to Carlton cemetery where he will be laid to rest next to Giulia.
