I remember as a teenager, and then after a gap of many years, as a wife and mother! A cheerful, happy lady who loved her family. Such a sad loss, and far too young. You live on in our memories Claire. Love Karen xx

In loving memory of Claire McClune who sadly passed away quickly but peacefully on 19th January 2022 with her immediate family by her side.
Claire will be remembered as an energetic and positive person who gave a lot of herself to others. She had a childlike excitement and naughtiness which was never more evident than when she somehow made people do the most stupid things after providing a seemingly sensible explanation.
She lived her life her way, tackling problems head on and ignoring or by-passing things that didn't fit her world view even if that meant a visit from the tax man!
So please join us in celebrating Claire's life your way - after all she always did it her way. The details of the church, crematorium and reception are in the panel to the right. And please come dressed as you feel comfortable, with maybe a splash of purple as that was her favourite colour.
Rather than flowers, Claire would greatly appreciate donations to the Princess Alice Hospice who provided us with great care and support. Also to Cancer Research for work on early diagnosis and treatment of aggressive cancers. Links to their Just Giving pages are on the top right of this page.
There will be so many stories that I don't know about Claire as we found each other only 20 years ago. Please take the time to leave a message, particularly if you have details of another escapade or scrape that she got herself into. Make sure you find me at the reception and tell me those stories that can't be printed!
