Lasting happy memories of unfailing hospitality and kindness from Margery and all the Ryans going back nearly 50 years! I will miss her bright smiling face and chatter , as will all of the town , but she leaves a legacy anyone would be proud of

I first met Marjory and Dennis around the time when they were first involved in setting up the Wimborne - Ochsenfurt Twinning Associatiin from which many happy times and memories resulted with our friends from Ochsenfurt and surroundings, I remember the first and subsequent visits there so well. Around the same time Marjory started to organise the huge undertaking of organising the annual Save the Children Parade and Wimborne Tourist Information Centre of which I was manager, became a focal point with Santas grotto and princesses, mince pies often made by Marjory, and afterwards the massive collection of heavy buckets of coins!
Marjory's commitment to the town was obvious and her open, smiling friendliness always in evidence The town and I will miss her greatly. Thank you Marjory for all my personal memories of you.

Chris & Anne BROWN donated £20 in memory of Margery

As a fellow Hon.Freeman of Wimborne Minster I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Margery Ryan who was a great stalwart of the town and one of it’s greatest advocates. In Margery’s latter years she and I became 'mobility scooter pals” and for many years we would ride together at the Save The Children Christmas Parade on our scooters. She was always a joy to be with, her positive attitude and love for people was always evident and I have never heard her utter a bad word about anyone, she took all in her stride and saw the good in people. When my father died some years ago Margery was ever so kind and she thought my dad’s saying was a fine epitaph "Dying is no big deal. Even the least of us will accomplish that. Living is the trick” and she told me “That’s the way to do life” and I think she certainly mastered the “trick”. Margery was a beautiful soul who gave so much to this town, community and countless individuals she helped along the way and I am honoured to have known her and will miss our little chats together.
