In Loving Memory of Simon Flack who died from Motor Neurone Disease on 7th January 2022 aged 52. Best friend for 34 years and devoted husband of Helen, Simon was a much-loved Dad to William and Joseph and he leaves a huge gap in his wide circle of family, friends, colleagues and pupils.
Originally from Saffron Walden in north Essex where he and Helen met, they both studied at the University of Bradford.
Simon began his 20-year career as a Chemical Engineer in Derby working for Courtaulds. In 1999 Simon moved his young family to Sandwich where he worked for Pfizer for 13 years. He then taught Science at Astor College in Dover for 7 years where he is sadly missed. Simon served for 6 years as 'Skip', Sandwich Scout Leader.
Funeral service at Barham Crematorium Tuesday 1st February 2022 at 11.20am.

So sad to hear of his passing. He taught me science at Astor. Was one of my favourite teachers and had a lot of patience. I’m sure many others will agree x thinking of your family

Dear Helen, William and Joseph, we are so saddened to learn of Simon’s passing. David and I enjoyed our Sunday morning catch up with Simon at yoga; reminiscing of the kids school days and their adventures thereafter. It was clear to see how very proud Simon was of William and Joseph. A gentleman, always happy to see you and always with a smile. Euan said “Skip was the greatest, best ever scout leader”. Love and heartfelt sympathy, David, Maggie, Euan and Ailsa
