Phyllis Sandra Eddie, 75, died suddenly and without pain on 9th January 2022 at Nottingham City Hospital after a short illness. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, 22nd January at Bramcote Crematorium, Beeston, Nottinghamshire.

The eldest of eleven, Sandra was born on 26th October 1946 in Ballycrune, County Down, Northern Ireland, to Samuel and Phyllis Beattie. She married Mervyn Eddie on 26th October 1966. In a well-travelled life, they raised two sons in Northern Ireland, England, Wales, Scotland, Malaysia and the Netherlands, before a happy retirement in Northern Ireland and then Attenborough, Nottinghamshire.

Sandra devoted her life to her family and the many friends she made wherever she went. She will be sorely missed by them all. She is survived by her husband, two sons, eight siblings and seven grandchildren.

Sandra: we were delighted to sell our home in Attenborough to Mervyn and yourself, to welcome you as our next-door neighbours, and to start getting to know you and becoming your friends. Already in this short time we experienced and enjoyed your lovely and lively personality. You'll remain for long in our thoughts and our memories. Fare well, dear neighbour and friend.

We are thinking of you all and sorry we can’t be there. Loved a chat with Auntie Sandra at family parties. She had such a great laugh. Kids loved their visits to Ballinderry to see the elephant and never came home empty handed.

Love Claire, Vincent, Katie, Emma and Edward xo
