James Hughes (19 Sep 1928 - 27 Dec 2021)

Long-time groundsman at Pembroke Castle, Mr Jim Hughes formerly of Merchants Park, and The Old Conduit, Monkton passed away peacefully at Ashdale Care Home, Pembroke on Monday 27 December 2021, aged 93. Beloved husband of the late Marj, treasured dad to Jen, Sal and the late Mart, father-in-law to Robert and the late Kurt, much-loved Grampa to Jonathon and Andrew, Carol and Daryl, and great-Grampa to Cooper, Allegra, Claudia and Pearl, Harper and Madison.
Due to the current health situation, a graveside service will be held at Monkton Cemetery on Tuesday 18 January at 11.30am.
Flowers are welcome.
A memorial service to celebrate Jim’s life will be held when family members can attend. Always a Monkton boy.
