In loving memory of Andy Bond who sadly passed away on 15th December 2021
Such a wonderful, loving and supportive husband, dad and grandad who had time for everyone he met. He had a strange sense of humour that only a few got and was a lot cleverer than people realised.
He loved spending time with all the grandchildren and looked forward to hearing what they where doing and was proud of all of them.
His favourite place to be was Alnmouth in Northumberland where we had many holidays along with long distance walking, from walking the Coast to Coast to St Cuthbert's and St Oswald's way and our last walk the Cotswolds Way.
He started the walking group (walking for health) with his partner in crime Keith and this carried on for around 4 years until they retired and covid struck. He knew everyone of the walkers and enjoyed walking and talking with them listening to their life stories which he found fascinating. They organised lots of social evenings and outings for the group.
Andy's job before retirement was at Europe Car and he loved it, working with a great bunch of guys and meetings so many people from all walks of life, he said "it was the worst paid but the most satisfying".
He also completed his degree in Psychology, Philosophy and Economics (PPE) a few months before he passed away and received his certificate BA Hons certificate 2:1.
Andy was also a 3rd degree black belt in martial arts training for over 30 plus years and made many friends in the art form.

Such a shock to hear the sad news. I walked with Andy on many occasions. A very kind caring man with a wicked sense of humour. My thoughts go out to Heather and the rest of his family.

I didn't know Andy or Heather really well as l only more or less ended up at the social events rather than the walking, but they never failed to make me feel welcome. Andy and Keith were like a double act and always made me laugh .
Fly high Andy.
Deepest condolences to Heather and family.💙
