I just loved the way he unfailingly answered the phone "ello ello ello" and gave me books he said I shouldn't read - but they were good 'uns! Gone though not forgotten. Give my love to Margaret, Lillian and Stan. Miss you all.

Fond memories of Derek with a Brummie sense of humour which sometimes others didnt quite get! Loved his garden and was always available to chat. Hopefully reunited with Margaret and at peace

A lovely man whom I remember fondly from my childhood growing up in Hockley. Who can forget the person who coined the idea that all could be made well with a life saving "cuckuk". (a sweet.... for those who don't know) rest easy with Margaret again. X
