In loving memory of Robert Broadley who sadly passed away on 21st December 2021
Known as Bobby Bush he was adopted by Florence and Joseph Broadley at the age of 5years old and had 2 big sisters, Christine and Joyce, who he loved dearly.
He married Margaret and they went on to have 3 children, Julia, Mark and Lee and 5 grandchildren, Robert, Jacob, Daniel, Megan and Luke, who they worshipped.
His love of gardening bought him much happiness, lost in his greenhouse or at the local garden centre, he devoted much time to growing plants to give to others or brightening up his beloved garden.
He was a member of the Bestwood Male Voice Choir , a top tenor, in his bright red jacket and that cheeky smile. He loved his time with the choir, originally referring to the ‘old boys’ and later becoming one. Having his pint of Guinness and a ‘sing song’ after practice in the pub was one of his many favourite things (sausage rolls and Birds cream cakes have to have a mention to!)
Dad passed away peacefully, with his Christmas tree twinkling and his carols playing in the background. His strong faith resulted in the passing of a soul in peace.
By request, family flowers only please, but, if desired, donations made payable to 'The Red Cross' may be made on the 'Just Giving' section of this page or may be sent to C. Terry Funeral Services, 244, Bulwell High Road, Bulwell, Nottingham. NG6. 8NU
A donation box will be available on the day of the service and we ask you to donate the cost of a pint to Bob so we can help others like him in the future.
There were so many charities we could have considered however we chose the Red Cross as the free of charge service they offer, supporting people to live independently at home, had a huge impact on all our lives this past year.
Thank you for your friendship, and kindness
