I will be with you in spirit today dad in fact very much with you.. you have been a truly amazing papa always there when I’ve needed you and I know your love and support for me will be just as powerful from heaven as it was on earth.
I get scared of the thought of never seeing you again yet I know I can feel you always as I am made from you and mummy all that I am is of both of you so I only need to touch my skin and bone and I know you are there living on in me and that is what will get me through until we meet again.
I am scared dad but I know one day the fear will subside and I will be able to look back at all the happy funny memories and smile again, please be with me on this journey I’m on as I can’t do it without you and have a word with the big man up there to be gentle with me, good night my hero god bless my soldier until we see each other again xxxxx

The first time I met you was on your 70th birthday in The Ship York drinking Archers shots …. What a great night I had. You will be missed by everyone. Lovely and such a funny man xxx lots of love Ginger Sue and family xxx

Aww grandad this is one of the hardest things I ever wrote

How do I pick memories when I have 48 years & 9 days worth ,
Your humour grandad your classic one liners how we would laugh together & often get told off
I have so many memories of my childhood in London with you
but also so lucky to share our life’s in Sussex too
How you loved Sussex & mummys garden not to mention the white dog inn your ewhurst local
I don’t think farmer Jerry the tractor driver will ever forget
“Bert Lesley from over there’s dad” don’t think mummy will forget it either how we belly laughed ,
I think my greatest memory isn’t even one of mine it’s a pinched one
Your ability for begin the last one standing at any party
You always calling me a lightweight cause I’d be in bed before the party had even started
I’ll try not to be sad cause I know how lucky we was to have you for so long
Not many get to be a dad grandad great grandad & great great grandad and a friend to so many across the generation
