In loving memory of Diana Ella Morris who sadly passed away on 26th November 2021

Margaret & Alan Brown donated £20 in memory of Diana

In memory of our very first neighbour who will never be forgotten for the laughs, tears, cups of tea and cigarettes shared. So many happy memories of Di and all her family. How lucky were we?

To my dearest Nan.

Izzy and myself will miss you dearly. The moment I found out you left us, it broke my heart into a million pieces and the first thing I worried about was telling Izzy how her favourite Nanny Di, CB (chatterbox) wasn’t going to be with us anymore. Words can’t describe what you meant to us and you will forever be in our hearts. I think about you every day and each day, though it gets easier, brings a little tear.

From listening to The Carpenters at the post office, from lying with Ginny and Sherry all day long, from tasting your unbelievable roast potatoes in the lamb juices, from being allowed to drink as much Irn Bru as I could, from serving your customers in the shop from the age of 10, getting up at silly o’clock to do the papers and watching the cricket all day with Grandad Alan, those memories will never leave me and I thank you for everything you ever did for me. You helped me out when I struggled with my rent for a month and that alone confirmed that you were the most special woman in the world.

Izzy summed it up perfectly when she said ‘at least she can be with Grandad Alan now.’ She has already learned so much from you and she will remember you forever and ever.

If I could draw a sunflower now then I would, but no one could draw them like you.

I love you, yes I do, I love you, Yabba Dabba Dooo. Xxxxxxx

My beautiful, fiery, strong-willed, quick-witted, one of a kind nan. There are no words to describe how much I will and already do miss you. Your unconditional love and devotion to us all is something that I will cherish forever. You taught me what it means to be a strong, independent woman and encouraged me to follow my dreams (knowing that you were always there to prop me up whenever I had a wobble!) What I wouldn't give for one last phone call, one last cuddle, one last laugh until we both have tears rolling down our cheeks. You took a piece of my heart when you left but I promise I will always try to 🌻"keep smiling"🌻 just for you.

If love alone could have kept you here, you would have lived forever.

Ti amo nonna 💜

An integral part of village life, never without a smile and such generosity and kindness to every child who entered. I was privileged to know Di for over 20 years - and always enjoyed having a "chat" with her

Happy memories of mornings marking up papers and her kindness to three small boys.
