In loving memory of George Dann who sadly passed away on 23rd November 2021.

George was a country man through and through having been brought up on a farm in Rolvenden, Kent.
He loved agricultural shows, old tractors, steam rallies and showing daffodils. In later years he judged entries of daffodils at flower shows.
George was also a whiskey lover and amassed quite a collection. His other interests were collecting antique books and ephemera.
He loved a country sports jacket and moleskin trousers. His knowledge of local history was vast.

He leaves behind his wife Muriel, his daughters Michaela, Michelle & Mireille, grandchildren Natalie, Carl, Liam, James, Matthew, George, Harry & Oscar. He will be much missed.

Muriel Dann donated £100 in memory of George

With fond memories for my husband who bravely fought kidney failure in the last four years of his life.

We first remember George as helping out at Hogbins' Auctions in Tenterden. He was a trusted helper to Barry Pride for many years. His building skills and contacts were invaluable to us for the next 40 years, both when our Tenterden ceiling collapsed just after we had agreed to sell the house and later in both The Borders and Highlands. He spent some months with us in the north building a new house and was interested in its progress until his final phone call. He was extremely knowledgeable about antiquarian books and ephemera and always ready to help others. We used to enjoy our lunches with Muriel and George on our annual trips to Kent, where George always chose the best pub to visit. We miss him enormously. Scilla and Graham.
