I will never forget how we worked together in Tibet in 1988 when you travelled there with Lord David Ennals. After interviewing Tibetans you left Tibet with deep impressions and many documents pasted on your body. When we just recently reminisced about this moment you said that you were afraid to be strip searched at the Lhasa airport when you left. You made it to the UK with all the information where you continued to be a great supporter of Tibet. I was planning to come and see you in London in October to go through a box of documents and tapes you told me you’d kept in your house from that memorable trip. I was sad to hear you died before we could do so but happy we relived these special days before you passed on. Rest in peace.
