In loving memory of Betty Bedwell who sadly passed away on 27th July 2015. Betty was born in Ashton Under Lyne on the 1st November 1934. She lived there happily with her mum Ada Buckley, her dad Herbert Buckley and her younger brother Clifford Buckley.
She carried out her nursing training at Booth Hall Childrens Hospital and qualified in the early 1950's as a SRN. She loved caring for children - first at Booth Hall Childrens Hospital then later in the special care baby unit at the James Paget Hospital. Following her retirement from nursing, she worked as a volunteer for Victim Support before becoming the co-ordinator for the Lowestoft Victim Support Group.
She married Harvey Holt and has 3 surviving children from this marriage - Richard, Amanda and Alistair. Harvey and Betty loved going on holiday as a family and had many happy years before the marriage broke down and they divorced.
Betty met Clive Bedwell whilst on holiday, and remained in contact with him on her return. Romance blossomed and she moved to Lowestoft several years before they married in 1990 in Vegas.
Betty and Clive enjoyed many holidays together, and she cherished the extended family of Clive's sons, Christopher and Andrew.
As the family grew, Betty loved each and every one of her 11 grandchildren: Michael, Thomas, Simon, Andrew, Oliver, Lucy, Samantha, Natasha, Timothy, Olivia and Frankie.
It is with great sadness that this lovely, caring (and often stubborn) wife, mother and grandmother passed away. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Auntie Betty, you were a big part of my childhood that I loved and cherished. Your home was open to many. I loved walking past the house and seeing puddles and popsy, relaxed and happy to greet passers by... Just an extension of the 'Holt' clan...while in the background I could hear you Yelling... 'RICHARD..!!!' Haha
Memories of you will live long in our hearts... Love to Clive, Richard, Amanda & Billy and extended family... from all at 425. Xxxx
