  • Hi Brenda. I didn't have the privilege to know Vivvy at school. What was she like?

I first met Vivienne on 9th May 1984 1506 hrs on a flight to Egypt, we were on the same tour, and had by coincidence books seats alongside each other. There a friendship was born. We completed fifteen trips together, and remained friends for thirty-seven years Her nickname for me was "Blott/Blotty", and mine for her "Vivvy".
She would pace me on her bicycle when I was running, and we'd walk for hours over the Benfleet downs. Vivienne loved to walk, and loved to travel. From Africa to South America, from Mexico to Tibet we made out way around the World together. Her favourite places were Egypt and "Petra" in Jordan. She had a great infinity with animals, rode camels in Egypt and China, Horses in Jordan and elephants in Thailand.
Vivienne mentored me, we would just talk for hours. So I guess a piece of her still lives on within my mind.

But I didn't see her in her final years, which feels me with such sorrow, If I could I would say he her now.
"My Dearest Vivienne"
"Thank you for all the crazy adventures we shared"
"Thank you for loving me"
"Thank you for being my friend, such a special friend"
"But most of all, thank you for being you"
"Hope you are at peace"
"Goodbye my dearest old friend"
Eternal love from your

Blott
