Liz was born in Nottingham and lived here almost all her life, except for a brief spell in Libya, cut short by a military coup. She married Dave and together they had three children. She was the centre of our family, hosted big family meals and baked everyone's favourite cake for their birthday.

She was an incredibly talented knitter, knitting professionally and for pleasure and through this she met friends through local groups and later online. Knitting socks was her way to relax and every Christmas she provided a pile of them for people to choose from.

She was generous and loving and never happier than when surrounded by her family. She leaves a huge hole in our lives.

I love and miss you so much Mama. I will miss my regular visits to yours for dinner where you would always make my favourite dinner and pudding. You did so much for me growing up and I am so grateful for all the holidays to Mudeford, the opportunity you gave me for me to go to Canada and every birthday cake and labour of love you gave me❤️ I will especially miss your cuddles and how your face lit up every time I saw you. Thank you so much for being the best Mama I could have asked for.
