In loving memory of David Atkinson who sadly passed away on 28th September 2021
David was a proud family man, husband to his late wife Barbara (married for 42 years (and were together for 2 years prior)), father to Katy and grandfather to Aaron and Ellie. Although not the most affectionate of men he loved them all dearly and would support them whenever they needed him.
David spent over 40 years driving for London Underground until his retirement in 2009; he was a very popular member of the team which has been shown by his regular meet ups with his friends from the Upminster depot.
David was well known for his passion of his old vintage cars, he had many over the years which he loved to tinker with and take out to car shows where he won a mulitude of awards.
David also loved his dogs he had many over the years Penny,Sally, Benji, Gus to name a few. After Barbara’s passing he adopted his little dog Max from the Dogs Trust. Max provided great companionship for David after the loss of Barbara.
David always requested family flowers only at his funeral and donations to a charity from others , the Dogs Trust has been chosen as Max made his last few years a lot easier.

RIP David, thank you for all that you did for our family; you always said that you did nothing but you helped us out so many times. You and Barbara accepted me as part of the family from day 1 and I will never forget that and will always be proud to be a part of it. I promise I will look after Katy, Aaron, and Ellie for you.
