George was a kind hearted loving family man, a fantastic husband to his wife Louise and brilliant Dad to his his 3 children Gary, Tony and Hannah and Hollie (who was like another daughter to him). George sadly passed away after battling his diagnosis of Motor Neurone Disease for 17 months. George always wanted to go on a trial in the hope of finding a cure and was signed up to start one at King's College Hospital in London. Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions the trial start dates for London King's College Hospital were delayed and George never had the chance to try and beat MND. We are asking for donations please to the Motor Neurone Disease Association as George would want all the money to go towards the MND charity in the hope that one day we will be able to live in a world free of MND.
When George was young he was a part of the Plymouth School Boys football team. Later he became a scout for Chelsea Football Club and he also managed Gary and Tony's youth football teams which he loved running. He was full of life and loved football including his team Man United. We are asking for George's Celebration of Life, if you are attending, to wear something red in memory of his love for football and his favourite team.
George loved life and said to us (after diagnosis) don't be sad, live life and look after each other. He always had a positive outlook on life, he was kind and caring and always put his family first. We have the best happy memories with him that we will keep and these memories will live on forever. He would always make us laugh and smile everyday, he was the best. We will miss you lots and love you forever.
Lots of love from his family
Louise, Gary, Tony, Hannah and Hollie xx
