Stephen Anthony Critchlow (Passed away 19 Sep 2021)

My old friend, you will be missed, we go back a long way, you will be forever in my thoughts, such a gentleman, we used to laugh a lot, do impressions 😂 even from an early age i knew you would do well in your profession, I should of joined you in drama school I would of made a great screen baddie. Rest in peace Critch.

Remember you at school when I was 7.You were so kind and loving and funny.always watched what you was doing always made me smile.Made a mark in my life.So sad. Peace.

In memory of Critch and all the love and laughter he gave us during the run of The 39 Steps.

I wish Critch was still here. He brought joy to my life whenever he was here, as he did with so many people he spent his time with. He was a truly beautiful person on so many levels. It's so sad we lost him so young.

Missed hugely by all his family. Just so unique, talented, and funny. Irrepressible and irreplaceable.

So sad that someone so beloved of so many has gone. Special love to Caroline and Phoebe xxx

It is so sad to think this massive energy and talent is no longer here... My memory of Critch is a man literally shaking with jokes, almost unable to keep up with his own quick wit. I like to think of myself as a joker but no-one could hold a candle to Critch. The fastest, funniest, brain I have ever known

Critch , It is so sad that the massive hole you leave in everybody’s life especially your beautiful Caroline and darling Phoebe. My fondest memories include watching back to back Hammer house of hammer films with Phoebe and you doing your Tom Baker, Dr Who impersonation, and coming down to dinner with your daftest Oak furniture persona. Farewell Critch and thanks for all the love and laughter. A gallant gentlemen and a blinding wit, but most of all a loving husband to my sister Caroline. I hope you could see all your wonderful friends missing you so badly yesterday.

Goodbye my best friend Critch, so many years of laughter, friendship and support curtailed suddenly with your passing. A man fine and brave enough to offer me friendship and support when I was down, and helped me become the confident woman I am today. I thank you and think back with love. Hope we meet again someday where we can share a few more jokes and humour together. Rest in peace my friend. Thank you, Victoria Elizabeth.

Goodbye my friend. Thank you for some of the happiest times of my life. There will be a little piece of you in every character I ever play.
