  • Really sad to hear this news, Tony was one of my drivers in 3rd Troop D Sqn, you were also next door neighbours in Catterick 1992/3 in brand new quarters. I have to say that is was a shock to many of us.

So sorry to hear of your loss Ruth and family. Another taken far too early to the Tank Park above. Have a good Smoker, Tony.
Ruth- Smokers were the sessions we used to have on exercise or scheme as it was called round a huge camp fire. With plenty beer. Although not in same Sqn he was always like myself in the 80s always in the thick of mud, either track bashing or digging holes, coveralls totally thilfy but smiling that grin all the time. Remember those days well. Rest in Peace Tony.

This is such a tragic loss - gone far too early. He was always polite, likeable, dependable and very popular. As his boss for a small part of his army career, I was glad he was such a charming character. He had my respect. RIP from Berlin.

Yet another character taken far to early. Our paths crossed a number of times and had a few laughs together. A larger than life character and will be missed by many.
