Phil was a lovely man. He has certainly made a positive impact on our lives, he was so driven to work for the Lord, sharing his faith, vision and concern for others.

We are so blessed to have known him.

  • The above was my reply to Joy’s message. I joined Christ Church Swanley in summer 2018, Phil and Joy were part of the warm welcome I experienced which was so appreciated as I moved to this new area alone and bar a few colleagues I knew lived there, I knew no one. I have a history of depression and Phil and Joy were like parents to me in support including when I was ill from it for a month! and a half, I’m ever grateful for that. It was beautiful to hear all the tributes from the services. “ God forever hold you Joy, Fiona, Judith, Phil’s siblings and all who loved him closely in comfort and strength always 🙏🌼 “

My wonderful husband changed his address on 30th of August to his heavenly mansion. He was a loving husband for 44 years and caring father and grandfather. He was a patient teacher and elder, who had a good sense of humour. I miss him more than words can say but one day we’ll be together again.
