On 30th August 2021, at his home in Tingley, aged 74 years, Melvyn, dearly loved husband of Margaret, beloved dad of Martyn, Neil and Colette, dear father-in-law of Judith, Catherine and David, and very special grandpa.
Funeral service will be held at Dewsbury Evangelical Church, Central Street, Dewsbury, on Monday 13th September 2021 at 12 noon, followed by burial at Woodkirk churchyard. Friends, please accept this intimation and meet at the church. Donations in lieu of flowers may be placed in the collection box provided, or sent to George Brooke Ltd., Funeral Directors for the benefit of Yorkshire Cancer Research.

Margaret, We are all different but I have a pretty good idea of how you are feeling. I am thinking back to when we all last met, what a good time we had and what a nice bloke Melvin was. Unfortunately I cannot come to the funeral but will make a donation to Yorkshire Cancer Research in both mine and Ros' name - she would have liked that. Stay safe and you are in my thoughts. All
