In loving memory of William Joseph (Bill) Rawcliffe who sadly passed away on 24th August 2021.
Bill was a true Yorkshire man, born in York to a large loving family, he was honest and passionate with integrity. Bill believed in fairness and equality for all and was prepared to fight for his ideals. But he was also an amazing husband to Sharron and loving and supportive father to Wills and Jack and to our daughter in law Sarah. Bills love of sport made him many friends, his ability to speak to anyone and everyone made him so loved by all that met him, young or old Bill was able to engage and enjoy just being with people. Bill was generous and funny with the biggest heart. Bills passing will leave a huge hole in many people’s lives but mostly his family’s. RIP Rocky

During my tenure as a train cleaner, Bill was there for me providing one to one support. It breaks my soul to hear of his passing, but he inspired me to do good by others. May he rest peacefully, but never be forgotten by his comrades and his loving family.
