In loving memory of the late Elaine Harrison who was found on 1st April 2014.
.
We will be laying mum to rest on Thursday 1st May 2014 with the service to be held at St Giles Church, West Bridgford, NG2 6AY at 1100 hrs, this will then be followed by a private burial.
.
As a family we do not wish to impose a strict dress code - traditional or otherwise.
.
For gentlemen, suits with a black tie will be just as welcome as coloured ties and open neck coloured shirts and ladies just we ask that you dress appropriately in line with the gentlemen.
Anyone who is a part of a uniformed service, mum was incredibly proud of not just me but all of us so if you would like to attend in service dress (or equivalent) please do so.
.
We all love and remember mum for her antics and the jokes she used to play. Because she was a lovable, larger than life character full of fun we would like celebrate her life on the day as well as mourn her passing.
Because of this we would like to bury mum with lots of happy memories. If you have a favourite photo (mum loved photo's - she single handedly kept Max Spielmann in business for many years), a message, memory or reading please bring it (or a copy) with you to the church where we will ensure it is buried with mum.
.
We will post any further details in due course.
.
Once again we thank everyone for all your help with the search over the last 4 months and your messages of condolence since mum was found. We couldn't have searched as hard as we did without your help and know so many of you now feel as though you knew our mum and would like to have the opportunity to say goodbye, therefore you are more than welcome to join us at St Giles Church at 11 am for the service and/or the Trent Navigation Inn, Meadow Lane NG2 3HS from approximately 1 pm.
.
At the Trent Navigation we will have 2 of mum's favourite local musicians playing. Steve McGill will be on stage from around 2pm and Martin Taylor (AKA The Badger) playing later in the afternoon/evening.
.
Please help us celebrate Mum's life with a smile, feel free to upload your favourite pictures of Mum to this page, light a candle and leave a message.
.
Online donations can be made for CLASP or Missing People, there will also be a retiring collection at St. Giles Church for the Friary Drop in centre, West Bridgford.
.
The family welcome flowers or donations.

Dear, dear Elaine. I only saw you at family farewells and my Christmas eve partys in later years, but I can remember you with your pretty blue eyes, blonde hair, and your beautiful big smile when you used to visit my dad (your cousin Richard) in our shop down the Meadows when I was a girl. Your passing has been absolutely devastating, and had they been alive my dad and grandma (your cousin Richard, and your auntie Edna) would have been so upset; you are loved so much by all those whose life you touched. Rest now sweetheart, I will never, ever forget you. My heart goes out to Andrew, Tracey and Lynsey, and all the rest of the family at this very, very difficult time, Dawn (Elaines second cousin) xx

We will miss you Elaine, & hope that you have found peace at last. This poem was written by me (Mandy) especially for you -

When a gentle breeze is upon your face,
Remember me in whatever place,
Raindrops mixed with tears,
Weeping sorrow full of fears,
I am with you now - I will always be,
In your Heart - Remember Me.

Condolences to Dave (her Partner), Andy, Tracey, Lynsey & all her Family,

The Love that Elaine had for everyone, & the memories that were created by being with her, will live on forever in your hearts.

The last time we saw her, she was laughing at My son Paul (her Stepson) as he was feeding his horse a Kit-Kat with his mouth, & the horse continued to lick & slobber all over Paul's face. We laughed so much. She was as proud that day of Paul competing in his competition as she was of the photo's of her Family that she showed us. Her face lit up with so much pride of her Family that she looked fit to burst.

Don't think of her as gone away
her journey's just begun,
life holds so many facets
this earth is only one

Just think of her as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.

Think how she must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.

And think of her as living
in the hearts of those she touched...
for nothing loved is ever lost
and she was loved so much.
