Jane Helen Bulmer aged 74 passed away peacefully at York District Hospital on Tuesday, 17th August 2021.
She was born to the late Arthur and Kathleen Walker on 19th June 1947, in Tadcaster, North Yorkshire. She married the late Michael (Mick) Bulmer in 1970, and they lived together in Bishopthorpe for 9 years before moving to Huntington where they owned a smallholding. In later years, Jane settled in Haxby where she was surrounded by wonderful neigbours and friends.
Jane is survived by two children: Nicholas Bulmer of Auckland, New Zealand and Russell Bulmer of York. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Clementine, Joss and Zachary. Jane was predeceased by her loving husband in 2009.
Jane's passion was her family and animals, particularly dogs. Jane had always had a dog by her side and in her retirement years she devoted her time to fundraise for Hearing Dogs and Guide Dogs. She also spent many hours taking assistance dogs out for walks which we know were very much valued by the dogs and owners alike. Jane also cherished her travels: both in the UK and overseas. She had wonderful friends and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them too.
The passing of Jane has left a huge gap in our family, we miss her dearly but she leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.
