Joan Harlow (25 Nov 1943 - 2 Aug 2021)
Funeral Director
In loving memory of Joan Harlow who sadly passed away on 2nd August 2021
It is almost an impossible task to summarize the wonderful life of Mrs Joan Harlow in just a paragraph or two. How do we do her justice? How can we make her proud? ...Of course, we know Joan would be telling us to breathe. She'd be telling us to write from the heart, to not care what others think...that she is proud of us regardless... so for her, we shall give this a go:
Joan filled many roles throughout her 77 years on this earth; A wife, a mother, a grandmother, a sister, an aunty and a friend. But she was more than that! She was a leader, a comfort, an inspiration...she was home. Her smile was just infectious and her laugh was like a song! She always knew exactly what to say and similarly knew exactly when to listen. She was always the bell of the ball and her fashion sense was the envy of all. She was resplendent inside and out, but she was too humble to recognize it. Joan had such a reputable personality, it was impossible not to be in awe of her.
Joan's life wasn't always easy, but you wouldn't have known it without her telling you- she was a fighter! She refused to be a victim of circumstance and I think we could all learn something from her courage.
Joan loved to love. She had so many people around her that she cared for so deeply. Her love was unconditional...how lucky we are to know someone whose affection was so intensely omnipresent.
Joan has left behind many people who will forever grieve her loss...people that will miss her intelligence, her wit, her kindness, her sass. But she has made such an impression on so many individuals lives and made such a mark on this world, that we are confident the memory of her will never cease. We are beyond sorrowful that she is gone...but delighted that she was our lives in the first place.
...so there you have it...we hope we did you proud Joan xx
