I have just read about John's passing some two and a half years later. I knew John in Newfoundland. Though we were both English born and bred it was in Newfoundland we met. Both of us were educators and both loved amateur dramatics. He was a wonderful friend and colleague. He lived a very full and exemplary life. My sincere condolences to Leila, Craig and Kerry.
