My lovely Poppy, it is very hard to believe that you are gone.
I have thought a lot about you and our times together over the last few weeks.
We met back in September 2000 at the Snowdrop in Lewes...nearly 21 years ago.
Although we didn't have the chance to see each other often because I live in Germany we spent some time together especially in our twenties.
Last time I saw you was in August 2014. I never thought it would be the last time to see and hug you as we said goodbye at Brighton station after taking the train from Hastings to Brighton.
In addition to all the good times in and around Lewes/Brighton, I am especially happy and grateful that you visited me in Germany. I just had a look at the pictures again...
I'm so sorry I can't be there tomorrow, I wish I could. I'll think of you, your family and friends.
So glad to have met you.
