Oh Uncle Tel. You loved life and you loved people. I've never known anyone so full of fun, joy and enthusiasm for everything you did, finding pleasure even in the mundane (as anyone who has watched you spread butter on a piece of toast will know!). You lived in your own 'Parfitt time zone' but always got there in the end.

You loved good company, good food and good wine. It was hard to find photos where you weren't tucking into a big plate of food! You never refused second helpings, or third helpings...and I loved cooking for you.

I will miss you, your enormous bear hugs and your string vest.

We'll miss Terry's smile and warm, firm handshake, when we go back to the Kingdom Hall it just won't be the same. We loved working along with Terry in the ministry. Especially enjoyed Terry's support when shepherding our brothers and sisters. We agree wholeheartedly with Steve K's comments, Tamar and Ruby have been outstanding examples in caring for Terry and Jenny. (Ephesians 6:2 )

We wholeheartedly agree with Steve K's comments about Tamar and Ruby,you've been marvellous examples in caring for both Terry and Jenny. ( Ephesians 2:2 )

Geoff, Trish , Claire & Sarah Ives, remember Terry with great fondness, our brother in law and uncle. Terry’s enjoyment of life, pushing the children around the garden in a wheelbarrow at great speed, the huge bonfires, the battered old suitcase he would never open, the long walks, the swimming, all engaged in, with joy in his heart, producing joy in ours.

Geoff remembers the scriptural discussions with Terry, his understanding and appreciation of the Hebrew Scriptures were very encouraging and faith strengthening. The last verses we discussed a few days before he died, were Lamentations 3:22-24. With Jehovah’s blessing, Geoff hopes to continue these discussions with Terry in the New World. Terry do not be late!
