Rory Ian Baldwin (7 Jun 1995 - 1 Aug 2021)
Funeral Director
In loving memory of Rory Ian Baldwin (AKA Melon) who sadly passed to the other side on the 1st of August 2021.
Although Rory only had a brief 26 years with us, it can honestly be said that he lived each day to its fullest, achieving more in his short stint than most who are gifted an entire lifetime. The second eldest of his three siblings, he came into this world on the 7th June 1995 in All Saints Hospital, Chatham. He is survived by his loving Mum, Karen, his Grandparents, Norah and Pete and his siblings, Lewis, Owen & Milli.
Rory grew up in Rainham, Kent, attending the St. Margaret's Infant and Junior School before progressing onto the Rainham Mark Grammar School. He was a happy, active child who made the best of every situation with a cheeky grin. He was a popular young man, securing many, many lifelong friends throughout his school days, many of which he stayed close to till the end. An avid sportsman who excelled in everything he turned his hand to, including but not limited to, football, rugby, athletics and skiing. Rory never backed away from a challenge, a trait he carried onto adulthood.
Rory matured into a fine man. A startling conversationalist who cared deeply about the state of the world. He had an answer for everything, but did so with sound morale judgment. A man of many topics but excelling in history, politics and current affairs, influenced by the inequality of the world, Rory would always stand up for the little man and passionately argue his point to any who dared challenge him. A gentleman beyond his years, a naturally gifted comic who never made anyone feel inadequate. Rory would put his family and friends first and did so with nothing but positivity and love. His ability to make people smile will be missed by all that were lucky enough to have known him.
On August 24th at 3pm, Rory will light up the room once more as we celebrate his life one final time. Arrangements have been made so that no matter where you are in the world, you too can say goodbye to the Legend that was Rory 'Melon' Baldwin.
